Mehmet Evirgen is a product and strategy leader with more than 16 years of experience in payment systems and fintech. As Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of Treps, he leads the vision and roadmap for the payment gateway, transaction routing, 3D Secure flows, fraud and risk engines, digital wallets, split payments and multi-provider payment orchestration.
He started his career in 2011 at Asseco South Eastern Europe in virtual POS and card payment operations, then held payment systems and PF (payment facilitator) technical account management, product owner and senior product manager roles at Paratika and Payten.
He focuses on bringing regulation, innovation and technology together to build secure, compliant and scalable payment infrastructure. He has written about payment systems for FinTechTime since 2021, and on the Treps blog he turns hands-on industry experience into practical guides for businesses.
